It was only a matter of time before someone decided to fill the gaping hole in the Tel Aviv restaurant industry, that is Japanese. The elegant and exclusive restaurant on the third floor of the Norman hotel is a branch of the ‘Dinings’ restaurant in central London. As soon as you enter the chefs and waiters all turn and greet you with ‘Irasshaimase’ meaning welcome in Japanese. The chefs were brought over from London, so the restaurant, despite it’s recent opening, is already functioning as if it’s been open for years.

In our opinion the menu was split up in a rather confusing fashion but the idea is that it is Izakaya-style Japenese tapas. It’s made up of soups, nibbles (the delectable bite size tar-tar chips are a must), cold and hot tapas dishes each prepared with a unique sauce and presented as a work of art, and sushi. As can be expected from a restaurant in the trendiest hotel in Tel Aviv, the prices are sky high, but you do receive a world class experience from the restaurant itself, the servers, and of course, the food.
