Thai at Har Sinai - Telaveat.com | Your guide to the best restaurants in Tel Aviv

When we turned up for a table for 2 and were told the wait would be around 1 hour we knew it would be a place worth talking about. We were correct. Located in the corner between Port Said and Santa Katarina, is an excellent Thai restaurant.

If you are looking for an authentic Thai restaurant then this isn’t where we would recommend. This trendy spot is ideal for anyone looking for a fun night out that won’t break the bank. The atmosphere really makes this place unique. Surprisingly, it has a very Copacabana feel to the place, with a funk/soul DJ playing one great tune after another.

The drinks are excellent. If you are a tequila fan, we recommend you order the “Tommies” (38NIS) cocktail. If you are a fan of something slightly sweeter, the lychee mojito is for you.

The menu is comprised of relatively small dishes, perfect for sharing. The flavours in the dishes were slightly sweeter than you are likely to find in authentic Thai restaurants, yet incredibly tasty. If you are not a fan of spice, then tell your waiter/waitress- the chefs are definitely big fans of chilli! The Phad Gai Himmapa (43NIS) and Plaa Phad Prik Gaeng (spicy!!!) (56NIS) were amongst our favourites.

We can’t wait to return! Currently they don’t have a number- if you turn up during the day you can make a reservation.
